3. Not Medical or Veterinary Advice
THE SERVICE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL VETERINARY CARE. DOSEPAW DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL OR VETERINARY ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, PROGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS OF ANY KIND. NO VETERINARIAN-CLIENT-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP (VCPR) IS CREATED BY YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
3.1 General Disclaimer
- The Service is a personal organizational and informational tool only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any animal disease, injury, or condition.
- DosePaw does not verify, validate, review, or approve any data entered by users, including but not limited to medication names, dosages, frequencies, schedules, weight measurements, vaccination records, or allergy information.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all information you enter into the Service.
- Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any questions regarding your pet's health, medications, treatment, nutrition, or any other aspect of animal care.
- Never disregard, delay, or alter professional veterinary advice because of something you read, tracked, or were shown in the Service.
- DosePaw assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any health outcomes, adverse events, injuries, or death of any animal related to or allegedly related to the use or misuse of the Service.
3.2 Health Insights & Care Score
The Health Insights feature, including the Care Score, adherence rates, weight trend analysis, and vaccination status indicators, is provided for informational and educational purposes only. You acknowledge and agree that:
- The Care Score is a measure of caregiver behavior consistency (such as logging doses, recording weight, and keeping vaccination records up to date). It is NOT an assessment, evaluation, or indicator of your pet's health status, prognosis, or wellbeing.
- Adherence rates, weight trends, and other computed metrics are mathematical calculations based solely on data you entered. They do not account for clinical context, individual animal physiology, breed-specific considerations, concurrent conditions, or any other factor that a licensed veterinarian would consider.
- Tips, suggestions, and recommendations generated by the Insights feature (such as "consider discussing with your vet" or "schedule an appointment") are general informational prompts, not clinical recommendations. They are not tailored to your pet's specific medical situation.
- A high Care Score does not guarantee that your pet is healthy. A low Care Score does not indicate that your pet is unhealthy. No score, metric, or insight generated by the Service should be interpreted as a medical assessment.
- The absence of a warning or alert does not mean there is no health concern. The Service can only analyze data you have entered and cannot detect conditions, symptoms, or emergencies that are not reflected in your records.
- You should not make any decisions about your pet's medication, treatment, diet, or care based solely on information provided by the Health Insights feature without first consulting a licensed veterinarian.
3.3 Emergency Card
The Pet Emergency Card feature generates a shareable image and a publicly accessible web page containing your pet's information. You acknowledge and agree that:
- The Emergency Card displays information that you entered. DosePaw does not verify the accuracy, completeness, or currency of this information.
- Emergency Card information may be outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate if you have not updated your pet's records. You are solely responsible for keeping the information current.
- The Emergency Card is for informational purposes only and is not intended to replace proper veterinary triage, diagnosis, or emergency treatment protocols.
- Any person or veterinary professional who accesses or acts upon information in the Emergency Card does so at their own discretion and risk. DosePaw is not liable for any actions taken or not taken based on Emergency Card information.
- By generating and sharing an Emergency Card, you consent to making the included information (pet name, species, breed, weight, allergies, medications, microchip number, veterinarian contact, and owner contact) publicly accessible to anyone with the link or image.
3.4 Assumption of Risk
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE HEALTH INSIGHTS, CARE SCORE, EMERGENCY CARD, MEDICATION TRACKING, AND NOTIFICATION FEATURES, IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. YOU ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL DECISIONS REGARDING YOUR PET'S HEALTH AND CARE, REGARDLESS OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY OR THROUGH THE SERVICE.
4. Account Registration & Security

- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials

DosePaw is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the right to submit it.

7. Service "As Is" / "As Available"
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing:

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DOSEPAW AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) TEN UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $10.00); OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO DOSEPAW IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Data, Storage & Sync
DosePaw uses a local-first architecture. Your data is primarily stored on your device using browser-based storage (IndexedDB) and optionally synchronized to cloud servers.
- Local data loss: Data stored locally on your device may be lost at any time due to browser cache clearing, storage quota eviction, device reset, browser updates, or other causes. DosePaw is not responsible for local data loss.
- Cloud synchronization: Cloud sync is provided through third-party infrastructure and may fail, be delayed, or become unavailable. We do not guarantee that sync will occur in real-time or at all.
- No backup guarantee: DosePaw does not provide data backup services. You are solely responsible for maintaining copies of any important data.
- Data deletion: Upon account termination (whether by you or by us), your cloud-stored data may be permanently deleted without the ability to recover it.

- Notifications may be delayed, lost, or never delivered due to network conditions, device settings, operating system restrictions, push service outages, or other factors beyond our control
- Notification sound and vibration behavior is controlled by your device's operating system and cannot be programmatically controlled by the Service
- You must NOT rely exclusively on DosePaw reminders for critical medication schedules. Always maintain alternative reminder methods for essential medications
- DosePaw is not responsible for any consequences arising from missed, delayed, or undelivered notifications, including missed medication doses
