Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions purchased through DosePaw ("the Service"). DosePaw is a digital subscription service — no physical goods are shipped or delivered.
All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as our Merchant of Record. Refund requests are handled in accordance with this policy and Paddle's terms.
We encourage all users to take full advantage of the free tier before purchasing a paid subscription. The free tier provides comprehensive pet care tracking with no time limit, allowing you to evaluate the Service before committing to a paid plan.
2. Merchant of Record & Paddle
All payments for DosePaw subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited("Paddle"), which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means:
- Paddle is the seller of record for all transactions
- Your payment relationship is with Paddle, not with DosePaw directly
- Paddle handles all payment processing, invoicing, tax collection, and compliance with payment regulations
- Charges will appear on your statement as a Paddle transaction
- Refunds are processed by Paddle in accordance with their terms and this policy
Paddle's terms of service and privacy policy apply to all payment transactions. You can review them at paddle.com/legal.
3. Subscription & Billing
DosePaw offers the following paid plans:
- Monthly plan: billed on a recurring monthly basis
- Annual plan: billed as a single payment for a 12-month period
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged at the then-current rate at the time of renewal. We may change subscription prices at any time; price changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following notice.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for
- You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
- After the current billing period ends, your account reverts to the free tier
- Your data is retained and remains accessible under the free tier limitations
5. Refunds
As Paddle is our Merchant of Record, all refund requests are processed by Paddle in accordance with Paddle's consumer terms.
You have the right to request a refund within 14 days of your purchase or most recent renewal. To request a refund, see Section 7 below or contact Paddle directly through the buyer support link in your purchase receipt.
We aim to be fair and transparent in handling all refund requests, in compliance with Paddle's terms and applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
6. EU/EEA Consumer Rights
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), consumers in the European Union and European Economic Area have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.
As Paddle is the Merchant of Record, EU/EEA consumer rights — including the right of withdrawal — are handled in accordance with Paddle's consumer terms and applicable EU/EEA law. You may exercise your rights by contacting us or Paddle directly.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, you have two options:
Option A: Contact DosePaw
Email us at contact [at] dosepaw.com with the subject line "Refund Request". Please include:
- The email address associated with your DosePaw account
- The date of the charge
- The reason for your refund request
- Your Paddle transaction ID or receipt number (if available)
We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.
Option B: Contact Paddle directly
You can also request a refund through Paddle's buyer support portal using the link in your purchase receipt email. As the Merchant of Record, Paddle can process refunds directly.
8. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved:
- The refund will be processed by Paddle to the original payment method
- Processing time is typically 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider
- Refunds are issued in the original currency of payment
- Upon refund, your subscription will be cancelled and your account will revert to the free tier
9. Chargebacks & Disputes
We encourage you to contact us at contact [at] dosepaw.com or Paddle's buyer support before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company. We are happy to work with you to resolve any billing issues promptly.
10. Free Tier
DosePaw offers a permanent, fully functional free tier that includes core pet care tracking features. The free tier does not require a credit card or any payment information.
We recommend all users evaluate the Service using the free tier before purchasing a paid subscription.
11. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy will be revised accordingly.
Changes to this policy do not apply retroactively. The refund policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs any refund request related to that purchase.
